Accidents continued in the cold weather.

Last night (24th), a water supply pipe burst in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, and water continued to flow on the road until this afternoon, and as it froze, it was very uncomfortable for people to walk on the road.

Reporter Yeo Hyeon-gyo covered the story.

Water is pouring out along the sloping road.

At around 10:10 last night, a 2.6m diameter water supply pipe ruptured on a road in Sampyeong-dong, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do.

Since it was a raw water pipe from Paldang to Pangyo, there was no damage to nearby apartments, but the leak continued until today as the exact rupture point could not be found.

It's near where the water pipe burst.

As restoration was delayed, water continued to flow on the road in front of the apartment, and the road froze in places due to the cold wave, causing inconvenience to the residents.

Korea Water Resources Corporation found the rupture point around 1:45 p.m. Temporary measures were taken to prevent it, but the exact cause and restoration were only possible after the frozen ground melted.
