Even on Christmas day, the cold and dry weather kept accidents happening all night.

Water pipes were frozen, and news of fires were also heard on highways and in small villages.

This is reporter Kim Min-jun.

The water springing up from under the road hits power poles and poles and is turbulent.

Because of the cold weather, some of them have turned to ice.

Last night (24th) at around 10:10 pm, a water supply pipe ruptured on the road in front of an apartment complex in Sampyeong-dong, Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do.

[Eyewitness (Nearby resident): My daughter's friends who live nearby have posted on Instagram that the neighborhood has become like this.

There is a round-trip road in front of Sampyeong Middle School, but it is completely locked.]

As you can see, the nearby water supply pipe burst, and the water is flowing pretty vigorously.

It's already been 3 hours since the water leaked like this, and the nearby roads as well as the three-way intersection were completely controlled.

[Seongnam City Hall official: This is probably the coffin going down to Pyeongtaek.

It is a large hall.

(Diameter) is about 2.8m.]

After the leak occurred, it was confirmed that several reports of water loss were received.

The Korea Water Resources Corporation and others said, "It is estimated that the water supply pipe burst due to the cold weather," and "repairs are still in progress."

I see a car burning red on the road.

Yesterday at around 7:15 pm, a fire broke out in a car that was running near the Seocheongju Interchange on the Jungbu Expressway, and it was put out in 15 minutes.

Fortunately, the occupants stopped the car on the shoulder of the road and evacuated quickly, so there were no casualties.

One room is scorched black, and burnt household items are strewn about the floor.

At around 8:50 last night, a fire broke out in Dongja-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, and it was extinguished in about 20 minutes.

One resident suffered first-degree burns on his face, but his life was not threatened.
