The government raised the heavy snow crisis alert from interest to caution from 11:00 pm last night (20th) and is operating the first stage of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government also issued the second stage of snow removal and entered into an emergency work system.

About 8,500 snow removal workers and 1,000 snow removal equipment were put in to clear snow from dawn.

In addition, in preparation for the influx of passengers on subways and city buses, we decided to extend the rush hour for commuting to work and to extend the time for dispatching to and from work by 30 minutes.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government requested cooperation from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and decided to deploy traffic police at 116 vulnerable points and control traffic in vulnerable sections during heavy snowfall.
