There is a debate among netizens over the National Human Rights Commission's decision that only male employees have night shifts is not discrimination.

The National Human Rights Commission of Korea (NHRCK) dismissed the complaint that giving female employees full weekend and holiday work and male employees taking night shifts was unfavorable treatment and gender discrimination when organizing night shifts at the Nonghyup IT Center.

The Human Rights Commission's Discrimination Correction Committee judged that 'in the case of night shifts, patrols are conducted once, but the rest of the duties are similar to day shifts and cannot be considered particularly arduous.'

Then, he explained, 'The overtime is about 6 hours longer, but you can take a break for about 5 hours in the middle, and you are given a 4-hour compensation vacation, so it's hard to see it as a markedly unfavorable job.'

Opinions of netizens are divided on this decision of the Human Rights Commission.

There are objections such as 'It's a woman-biased decision' and 'Why don't women work when it's not a disadvantageous treatment?' I don't think it's discrimination' and so on.
