[The Human Rights Commission recommends re-examination of death of sergeant 'dead in the valley']

Sergeant Jae-yoon Cho said that he was afraid of water and did not go near water.

On my 20th birthday in September of last year, I visited the valley with seniors, and died after jumping into the water due to being forced by seniors.

Last April: Seniors came often.

(deceased) They say that child is a rookie.

(Seniors have tubes) By the time they run...

The military prosecutors, who first concluded it was a simple accidental death, conducted a re-investigation after the SBS report in April and handed over the perpetrators to trial.

The fact that he was forced to die by his seniors was revealed through an investigation by the military prosecutors, but Sergeant Jo was not judged to have died.

This is because in May, the Army Ordinary Major Injury Examination Committee made a general death judgment for the reason that he died while playing in the water with a colleague while on vacation.

The bereaved family complained to the National Human Rights Commission, saying that the death was correct, and the SBS coverage result confirmed that the human rights commission also raised their hand, saying that it was appropriate to see it as a loss of job.

On the day of the accident, the outing area was restricted within a certain range from the unit, and there was no deviant behavior such as drinking alcohol, and it was considered to be related to the performance of duties.

It should be seen that there was implicit coercion or pressure by force under the circumstances, and pointed out that the military's decision to die was a failure to fulfill the basic responsibility of the state and an infringement of the honorary rights of the victims who died while performing their national defense duties.

Bereaved family: I cried.

He went to the army and served hard.

He should have sought honor, of course, because he told me why such a judgment was wrong then.

The Ministry of National Defense announced that it would re-deliberate whether or not to take the job according to the procedure after identifying the content of the Human Rights Commission's recommendation.
