Traffic accidents followed as the roads were frozen due to heavy snowfall.

On a snow-covered highway, a bus carrying about 30 mountain members fell over.

However, one bus failed to avoid it and crashed into the front of a car, then skidded and fell to the side.



Today (17th) at around 9:15 am, an accident occurred near the Godeok Interchange on the Dangjin-Yeongdeok Expressway in Yesan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do, when a bus carrying 35 mountaineering club members crashed into a car stopped on the road and fell.

Four people on the bus were taken to the hospital and treated, but it was reported that there were no major injuries.

At around 10:15 am, a car that slipped on snow on a road in Boeun-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do crashed into a guard rail, and at around 11:15 am, a vehicle that slipped on snow on a downhill road in Boeun-gun fell into a stream. .



Fortunately, there were no casualties in either accident.



In Gwangju and Jeonnam, where a lot of snow fell, 6 traffic accidents occurred in snowy roads, and as of 6pm this evening, 31 accidents, including falls on icy roads and traffic accidents on snowy roads, were counted across the country.



The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters said there were no deaths or serious injuries in snowy road traffic accidents, and urged drivers to drive with extreme caution as the roads were frozen due to the cold wave.
