Recently, while the prosecution's investigation is expanding, with nine children from wealthy families including conglomerates being handed over to trial on drug charges, another three people surrendered themselves on the same charge.

It is said that among them is the son of a former police chief.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office's Violent Crime Investigation Department (Chief Prosecutor Shin Jun-ho) has recently prosecuted and investigated three people, including an office worker named Kim, for violating the Narcotics Control Act.

Previously, on the 3rd, the prosecution uncovered systematic hemp distribution and cultivation among the wealthy, such as the third generation of chaebol families, overseas students, and celebrities, arrested six people and handed over three people to trial without detention.

These include Mr. Hong (indicted without custody), the son of the second son of Namyang Dairy founder Doo-young Hong, the late honorary chairman, Mr. Mr. Jo (indicted without custody), the 3rd generation of the Beom Hyosung family, and Mr. Mr. Lim (indicted without custody), the son-in-law of the former chairman of JB Financial Holdings. That's it.

Among them, Mr. Hong is accused of directly distributing hemp or liquid hemp in October of this year. It seems that he surrendered as soon as it became known.

If a drug offender, usually a first-time offender, surrenders, the level of punishment, such as the prosecution's disposition of the case, may be lowered.

As a result, the number of suspects related to the drug case has increased to 12, and the prosecution is gathering investigation powers, believing that there may be more connected drug offenders.

Most of those involved in this case are known to have been secretly distributing and smoking marijuana with their own supply line through the personal connections they had accumulated while studying abroad.

In particular, these types of drug offenders often consume and supply drugs at the same time.

Therefore, there is an analysis from inside and outside the prosecution that another social leader and wealthy class children can come to the forefront of the investigation through the investigation of the newly charged suspects.
