Two men in their 20s who were arrested for robbing a gold and silver store have been found guilty of counterfeiting bills worth 500 million won.

Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Police Station has applied for an arrest warrant for A and B in their 20s on charges of counterfeiting currency and special theft.

The two men broke into a gold and silver room in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do, on the morning of the 5th, stole 50 million won worth of precious metals and ran away, and were arrested in Busan in 16 hours. A 50,000 won note was found.

The police were suspicious of the fact that there was no anti-counterfeiting hologram on the bill, and as a result of questioning, it was confirmed that it was a counterfeit bill.

In addition, at a clothing store in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province run by the two, counterfeit bills worth 380 million won and a multifunction machine used in manufacturing were additionally found.

According to the police, it was investigated that they found out how to manufacture it on the Internet and made counterfeit bills for distribution purposes from a month ago.

However, there is no evidence that counterfeit bills have been circulated in the market.
