The 30-year-old daughter, who secretly fed her mother chemical liquids for insurance money, eventually killed the victim after a third attempt.

According to the legal community today (7th), the Incheon District Prosecutor's Office arrested and indicted a woman in her 30s yesterday on charges of murder and attempted murder.

On the morning of September 23rd, Mr. A is suspected of killing her mother, Mr. B, in her 60s, by secretly feeding her a chemical liquid in a drink at a villa in Gyeyang-gu, Incheon.

Mr. B was found dead by her son on the 28th of the same month in her villa where she lived alone.

Five days after her death, parts of her body were in a decomposed state.

The National Institute of Scientific Investigations opined to police that after her autopsy, she "presumed to have died from a chemical fluid remaining in her body".

When Mr. A was transferred from the police on the 18th of last month, the prosecution conducted a reinforced investigation on her and further extended her 10-day detention period to investigate.

During this process, the prosecution uncovered two additional cases of attempted murder of an ascendant that were not revealed during the police investigation.

In January and June of this year, Mr. A tried to kill her mother by feeding her chemical liquid in the same way.

He called 911 directly after her crime, and Mr. B was admitted to the hospital on both occasions and received treatment.

As a result of the investigation, Mr. A received a text message from her younger brother on the cell phone of her deceased mother, and it was revealed that she herself replied and hid her crime.

He admitted to the police, saying, "I had a debt," and "I tried to receive (inheritance) the death insurance money (in the name of my mother) due to financial difficulties."
