hot flames spread throughout the factory, and the fire on the paper burns with frightening force.

Around 1 am this morning, a fire broke out at a paper packaging printing factory in the Seongseo Industrial Complex in Dalseo-gu, Daegu.

[Eyewitness: I was surprised that the fire was quite close.

(Fire trucks) It seems that more than 10 to 20 cars have passed?]

The fire authorities issued the second stage of response within an hour of the fire, mobilizing all off-duty personnel from the local fire department.

The fire spread to the factories of seven nearby companies, but fire authorities had difficulty extinguishing it because there were many combustible materials.

The fire was eventually extinguished in 10 hours as paper and cardboard piled inside the printing plant continued to catch fire.

[Lee Yong-soo/Daegu Gangseo Fire Chief: Paper boxes are piled up like this. If you dig into them, the fire might remain inside and catch up again

. Three people were taken to the hospital inhaling smoke, and two firefighters were also treated at the hospital with minor burns.

There were also reports of damage that ash was flying in various places in downtown Daegu.

[Lee Sang-hyeon/Nearby factory official: The dust flew completely white as if it was snowing

, and I could see it blowing even when I was driving.]

I plan on having a forensic event.
