Police investigating the death of a woman in her 20s at a motel in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, secured CCTV footage of the assault by the suspect.

Initially, the suspect denied the charges, but as the police secure physical evidence, it is expected that the speed of revealing the crime will speed up.

Yesterday (6th), according to the Jeonju Wansan Police Station, the police arrested Mr. A (27) on charges of assault and death.

Mr. A is accused of assaulting and killing her colleague, woman Mr. B (25), several times at a motel in Wansan-gu, Jeonju on the 4th at around 2:00 pm.

At that time, when Mr. B collapsed, Mr. A called 119 and reported that "her colleague had collapsed and was unconscious."

The police confirmed that Mr. B, who died, had bruises all over her body, and immediately arrested Mr. A, who stayed with her at a motel, to investigate the circumstances of her crime.

Mr. A, who was accompanied by the police, initially said, "I have nothing to do with Mr. B's death," but the police considered Mr. A as a prime suspect and arrested him urgently.

Afterwards, the police secured CCTV footage installed in the motel and confirmed that Mr. A assaulted Mr. B outside the room on the day of the incident.

When Mr. A revealed that the police had checked the CCTV, he changed his statement, saying, "It is true that he was beaten," but it is said that he is still silent about the specific motive and circumstances of the crime.

The police are checking Mr. A's cell phone records, hospital treatment, and bank account transactions.

In addition, the National Institute of Scientific Investigation is requesting an autopsy of the body to determine the exact cause of death.

A police official said, "We are investigating the motive of the crime by leaving all possibilities open, such as resentment, love affair, or financial relationship."
