On the 30th of last month, an illegal horse slaughter site was discovered in a pasture in Seogwipo City.

Right next to it, horses about to be slaughtered are tied to a string and watching the scene.

It is believed that 5 out of 7 horses were illegally slaughtered here, and the disastrous situation at the time remains.

The illegal slaughter took place only about 200 meters away from famous tourist attractions.

The illegally slaughtered horse meat and bones were openly traded with people on the spot.

The horses are presumed to be retired racehorses or bred for breeding, not fattening horses.

The two pregnant Hallamas were rescued immediately before slaughter.

It is known that the horses are temporarily protected by an animal protection group, and the owner is still claiming ownership.

[Kim Nam-hoon/Jeju Gotjawal Horse Rescue Center CEO: (face-to-face) said, 'Give me 2 million won, you have to pay for the horse and take it.

Because this horse was illegally slaughtered in front of your eyes, and this is animal cruelty...

According to the police, etc. who checked the scene, it is known that the butcher partially admitted the charges, saying that illegal slaughter was a customary act.

Animal protection organizations have filed a complaint with the police against the owners and illegal slaughterers for violating the Livestock Products Sanitation Management Act and the Animal Protection Act.
