Today (4th) morning, a sailor in his 70s drowned while fishing off the coast of Uljin, North Gyeongsang Province.

At the Daegu plant of the food company 'Virak', the police launched an investigation when a worker in his 60s died after being caught in a facility.

At around 9:30 am today, a report was received that A, a sailor in his 70s, who was on a fishing boat operating in the sea near Hupo Port in Uljin, Gyeongsangbuk-do, fell into the water.



Other sailors came to the rescue and pulled him out of the water, but at the time of discovery, it was known that Mr. A was already without breathing and pulse.



The Coast Guard is investigating how Mr. A fell into the sea.

At around 10:40 am, B, a subcontract worker in his 60s, died at the Daegu factory of the food company 'Virak'.



It was investigated that Mr. B died of being caught in the equipment as he fell down while loading the box on the lift to move the empty milk box to the washing room.



The Ministry of Employment and Labor announced that it would investigate whether the company violated the Severe Accident Act.

Fires followed one after another.



Around 5 am this morning, a fire broke out in a bathroom in a park in Gaebong-dong, Seoul.



Around 1 p.m., a fire broke out at a waste treatment facility in Donam-dong, Yeongcheon-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do.



Fire authorities said there was no loss of life, but the amount of waste accumulated in the facility was about 1,000 tons, and it would be difficult to completely extinguish it within today.
