A 9-year-old child was hit and killed by a drunk driving vehicle in a children's protection area in front of an elementary school in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
In Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, three members of a family were poisoned by carbon monoxide and were taken to the hospital.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious head injuries, but eventually died.
The accident happened in the children's protection area right in front of the school.
As a result of the investigation, the blood alcohol level of driver A in his 30s was at the level of license revocation.
The police applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A by applying the 'Min-sik Act', which provides additional punishment when an accident occurs due to negligence of a driver in a child protection zone, and charges of drunk driving.

Around 9:00 last night, carbon monoxide leaked from a gas boiler in a detached house in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, and three members of the family, including a couple and their son, were poisoned.
After returning from the academy, the daughter found the family lying down and reported them to the hospital.
Police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the leak.
