A convenience store owner who sexually molested a teenage customer belatedly admitted all charges at trial.

The 2nd Criminal Division of the Jeju District Court (Presiding Judge Jin Jae-kyung) held the first trial for Mr. A, who was arrested and charged with violating the Act on the Protection of Sexuality of Children and Youth (indecent assault by force) today (the 1st).

On October 16th, Mr. A is accused of sexually harassing teenager B at a convenience store he runs in Jeju City.

It was investigated that Mr. A had harassed Ms. B by approaching Ms. B, who often visited the convenience store, and saying, "There is a CCTV, so don't worry."

Even though Miss B expressed her intention to refuse, Mr. A ignored it and continued the crime.

During the subsequent investigation, Mr. A made excuses, saying, “If Miss B had resisted strongly, I would not have molested her,” but in court that day, she admitted all of her charges without saying anything.

Prosecutors said, "We need to consider the fact that the defendant committed the crime intentionally, the high risk of the defendant re-offending with a distorted coming-of-age ceremony as a result of the psychological test, and the fact that the victim is anxious." charged.

In response, Mr. A's lawyer said, "The defendant is a first-time offender, and the victim's residence is a considerable distance from the defendant's convenience store, and the convenience store is currently in the process of closing the business." refuted.
