The police launched an investigation after receiving a complaint that a newborn baby fell at a postpartum care center in Busan, but the care center did not notify the parents in time.

The Busan Saha Police Station announced yesterday (30th) that it is investigating a postpartum care center nurse assistant A in Busan on charges of business negligence and accidental injury.

Mr. A is accused of not immediately notifying the parents of a 13-day-old newborn baby who fell from the treatment table at a postpartum care center in Busan at around 1:40 pm on the 28th.

According to Mr. A's claim, he left the baby unattended for a minute, and in the meantime, the baby moved and fell.

However, as a result of CCTV confirmation, it is known that Mr. A left the baby on an 85 cm tall treatment table without a protective guard for about 5 minutes.

In the meantime, Mr. A, who heard the sound of falling to the floor with a 'thump', confirmed the baby's fall accident only then.

Afterwards, the parents took the baby as it was and breastfed it, and then the staff who took over the baby took it to the hospital.

Until then, the parents were completely unaware of the baby's accident.

On the 30th (yesterday), the parents of the newborn uploaded a CT picture of the baby who suffered a fall accident on an online community. He claimed not to have been notified.

In addition, there was no consent from the guardian at the time of filming, and the parents explained that it was only around noon on the 29th, the day after the accident, that they were able to hear from their child about the fall accident from the cook.

Afterwards, the baby was taken to a university hospital in Busan, and as a result of checking, it was confirmed that there was an additional brain hemorrhage in addition to her fracture and swelling of the head, and underwent surgery.

Currently, the baby is in stable condition in the neonatal intensive care unit.

When her parents asked the cook about why she didn't tell her guardian what happened immediately after the baby's fall, she explained, "The head nurse only repeated the words that she reported it to the director."

He said, "I wouldn't have missed the golden time if I just talked about it, but I talked about it only after hiding the accident and the baby's head was swollen." He added that he had to watch it through.

The police received a complaint from the parents of the newborn baby, secured CCTV footage in the postpartum care center, and began a full-scale investigation against Mr. A by figuring out how the baby fell.
