Two people died when a pile of dirt suddenly collapsed at a construction site in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do.

At the time, prior to the construction of the country house, work was being carried out to check whether cultural assets were buried under the ground.

Today (30th) at around 2:40 pm, two workers in their 30s and 40s were buried in the soil at a rural housing construction site in Bibong-myeon, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do.

While the equipment engineer went in and tried to rescue it, it collapsed again on the other side.]



The fire authorities put in 19 pieces of equipment and 44 people to rescue for an hour and a half, but the workers were rescued at 4:16 pm and 34 hours, respectively. He was found dead within minutes.



It is the scene of an accident.

An accident occurred in which two workers were buried at a cultural excavation site measuring 5m in width, 10m in length, and 5m in depth.



At the time, prior to full-scale housing construction, a 'trial investigation' was underway to check whether cultural assets were buried on the site.



A non-profit organization, the Cultural Heritage Research Institute, received permission from the Cultural Heritage Administration the day before yesterday to conduct an on-site excavation and investigation, and was scheduled to work for six days with three investigators and several workers.



The Ministry of Employment and Labor is checking whether the site is subject to the Severe Accident Punishment Act, and the police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident with the people involved at the site.
