Another sexual assault case has been raised in the ice skating world.

A coach from the national short track team who led a youth short track team has been charged with sexually harassing underage students and illegally filming them.

According to the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul today (28th), a 40-year-old coach, A, is being investigated for violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (forcible harassment and illegal filming).

Mr. A is accused of illegally filming by taking his teenage pupils to his house while serving as a youth short track team coach at an ice rink in Seoul.

He is also accused of forcibly molesting sick students while giving them massages.

This fact became known when parents who caught Mr. A's suspicious behavior sued Mr. A to the police on the 23rd.

The police said that there were several minors who were harmed, and that they were investigating the exact circumstances against Mr. A.

The Ice Skating Federation is said to have opened a Sports Fair Committee, reported the matter to the Sports Ethics Center, confirmed the facts, and even completed the victim investigation.

Regardless of the results of the investigation, the policy is to speed up the disciplinary action against Mr. A, ranging from minimum qualification suspension to permanent expulsion.
