Prosecutors have extended the detention period for the head of the Political Coordination Office of the Representative Office, Jeong Jin-sang, who is the closest aide to Lee Jae-myeong, the Democratic Party of Korea.

The Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office's Anti-Corruption Investigation Division 1 extended the arrest period of Chief Jung once to the 11th of next month.
