Two Chinese boats illegally operating in South Korea's exclusive economic zone (EEZ) were caught by the Coast Guard.

Jeju Seogwipo Maritime Police Station today (26th) arrested a 218-ton fishing boat A with a twin fishing net loaded with Onryeong from China on charges of falsely notifying arrivals and departures in Korean waters.

In order for Chinese fishing boats to engage in fishing activities in our EEZ, they must notify the Korean Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives through the Chinese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs when entering or exiting Korean waters.

The Coast Guard also caught a 214-ton twin fishing boat B, which was shipped from China's Wenling, for illegal fishing inside the fishing agreement yesterday.
