A mother and daughter were found dead together in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, and the police launched an investigation.

According to the Seodaemun Police Station, on the morning of the 23rd, the police found two adult women dead in a multi-family house in Seodaemun-gu.

Police were dispatched to the scene with a report from the landlord that "the tenant seems to have died."

The two are said to be in a mother-daughter relationship, with the daughter in her 30s and the mother in her 50s and 60s.

The police believe that it has been quite some time since he died due to the condition of the body, etc.

On the front door of the house, there was a reminder notice in September announcing the overdue payment of 92,000 won for five months of electricity.

There was also a letter from the landlord asking for eviction, saying that the rent was overdue.

After her mother and daughter signed a lease on her house last year, 10 months of her rent was due and her deposit was reportedly deducted altogether.

Her daughter is known to have been suffering from a chronic illness.

According to the district office, this mother and daughter were not registered as basic livelihood recipients, but she was included in the Ministry of Health and Welfare's 'welfare blind spot discovery' target.

Welfare blind spot discovery is to identify households in need of economic help based on 34 types of crisis information, such as power cuts/cutoffs, health insurance premium defaults, and basic livelihood benefits elimination/suspension.

An official from Seodaemun-gu said, "The address on her mother and daughter's resident registration was her previous residence, so Seodaemun-gu was not notified."

The police plan to confirm the exact time and cause of death through an autopsy.
