Raped in the emergency room of Cochin hospital in Paris on the night of October 28 to 29, a patient filed a complaint against X for "endangering the lives of others".

His lawyer Maitre Alexandre Lobry explains at the microphone of Europe 1 that it is the victim's quest for truth that pushed him to take legal action.

What happened on the night of October 28 to 29 at Cochin Hospital?

RMC reveals this Thursday that a 34-year-old woman was raped during her admission to the emergency room of the Parisian establishment, located in the 14th arrondissement.

Arrested, indicted and then placed in pre-trial detention, the alleged perpetrator claims to be a 22-year-old Jordanian in an irregular situation.

Nearly a month after the events, the investigation continues.

The victim decided to file a complaint against X for "endangering the lives of others".

The victim's lawyer confides this Thursday at the microphone of Europe 1 that the 34-year-old patient is in shock.

"She is traumatized by the criminal acts that happened in the hospital," said Me Alexandre Lobry.

"Her feeling is to understand what happened. She wants the truth - hence the reason for the complaint against X."

Subject to the secrecy of the instruction and of his client, the lawyer explains that she suffers from a "trauma relating to the place", namely the hospital, and from a "trauma of the criminal acts".

"Normally, you feel safe in a hospital," he pleads.

"We go there to be treated, which has not been done."

He adds: "She was attacked and she was raped. Today, she wants to understand the reasons for the failures of the hospital's obligation to monitor or not, if there were any breaches."

The man targeted by two OQTFs

As a reminder, the alleged perpetrator claims to have arrived in France illegally in 2019. He was the subject of two orders to leave French territory (OQTF), the last of which was issued last July.

Two OQTFs issued under different identities.

The individual is known to the police under 13 different identities, after multiple arrests for theft, concealment, drug use, reports RMC.

The prosecutor of Meaux indicates that he was also suspected of rape of a minor in Seine-et-Marne in 2020 – the case will end up being closed without further action.
