Whether or not the street cheering at Gwanghwamun Square during the Qatar World Cup will be decided today (22nd) is expected to be decided.

Jongno-gu, Seoul, passed the Gwanghwamun Square street cheering safety plan submitted by the Red Devils cheering squad this afternoon with 'conditional consent'.

When Jongno-gu returned the plan for insufficient safety management measures during yesterday's deliberation, the Red Devil supplemented the relevant content and submitted it again to the district this morning.

It was found that the revised plan included the expansion of the event area and the expansion of safety management personnel, which the reviewers requested yesterday.

The main stage, which was scheduled to be installed in front of the statue of King Sejong the Great, was moved to Yukjo Square behind the statue, and the number of safety management personnel is said to have increased significantly from the previous 150 people.

In today's deliberation, Jongno-gu approved the safety management plan under the conditions of securing lanes for the passage of event vehicles, ambulances, and fire trucks, additionally supplementing the expansion of citizen convenience facilities such as electricity supply and portable toilets according to the expansion of the event venue.

Based on the results of the deliberation by Jongno-gu, the Seoul Metropolitan Government plans to hold an advisory group meeting at Gwanghwamun Square at 5:00 pm today to decide whether to approve the final decision.

The Red Devils, who submitted an application for the use of Gwanghwamun Square to the Seoul Metropolitan Government on the 17th, plan to cheer on the street at Gwanghwamun Square on the 24th and 28th, and December 2nd, when the national team's World Cup group stage matches are scheduled.
