Lawyer Nam Wook, one of the key figures in the suspicion of Daejang-dong, was released early today (21st) due to the expiration of the detention period.

Attorney Nam has raised suspicions of Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myeong's involvement in a recent trial, and attention is focusing on whether he will go out to public opinion after former head Dong-gyu Yoo, who was released first.

Attorney Nam Wook, the 4th major shareholder of Cheonhwa Dongin, who received more than 100 billion won in profits from the development of Daejang-dong, was released from the Seoul Detention Center this morning due to the expiration of his detention period.

It has been about a year since he returned from the United States and was arrested on charges of breach of trust in November last year.

[Nam Wook/Lawyer: (I came out in a year, so please say something.) I'm sorry.

(Why did Lee Jae-myeong prepare funds for the presidential contest? Who is the real owner of Cheonhwa Dongin No. 1?) …

Attorney Nam, who led the Daejang-dong project with Kim Man-bae, a major shareholder of Hwacheon Daeyu, and Jeong Young-hak, an accountant, was recently additionally indicted on charges of giving 847 million won in funds for the presidential election of Democratic Party leader Lee Jae-myeong to Kim Yong, vice president of the Democratic Research Institute.

The search and seizure warrant for Jeong Jin-sang, head of the political affairs coordination office, the head of the Democratic Party, also pointed out the allegation that Nam, a lawyer, delivered 400 million won in election funds to Chief Chung and former head Dong-gyu Yoo through Mr. Kim Man-bae ahead of the local elections in June 2014.

Attorney Nam highlighted the connection between the Daejang-dong project and CEO Lee Jae-myung in a series of recent trials, and revealed in a media interview that Vice President Kim Yong asked for 2 billion won in funds for the contest through General Manager Yoo Jeon.

Attorney Nam is scheduled to appear as a witness at the trial in Daejang-dong this morning, the day of his release.

On the 24th, following lawyer Nam, Man-bae Kim was also released due to the expiration of the detention period, and everyone in Daejang-dong will be tried without detention.

As all of them are key figures in the investigation of Lee Jae-myung's involvement, it is expected that they will be investigated by the prosecution from time to time even after their release.
