From 2013 to 2020, Wellstory, an affiliate of the Samsung Group's catering business, monopolized the catering work of four affiliates, including Samsung Electronics, through private contracts.

However, the charges against Choi and Hyun-ho Chung, vice chairman of Samsung Electronics, were dismissed without prosecution, saying that there was insufficient evidence that property damage had occurred in the four subsidiaries that drove the work.

Prior to the FTC field investigation in 2018, Welstory executive A, who ordered the deletion of internal documents containing expressions such as 'work drive' and 'internal transaction', and degaussed the hard disk of the company's computer so that it could not be restored, was also brought to trial. lost

Samsung Electronics said, "The company's position on facts and legal principles was not properly reflected in the investigation process." "We plan to prove in court that the transaction was normal."
