A 20-year-old mother who was handed over to trial for pressuring her 40-day-old newborn to death has been sentenced to a severe sentence.

The 1st Criminal Division of the Cheonan Branch of the Daejeon District Court announced today (14th) that it had sentenced A (25) to 15 years in prison for violating the Act on Special Cases concerning the Punishment of Child Abuse Crimes.

In addition, he ordered the completion of 200 hours of a child abuse treatment program, 10 years of employment restrictions at child-related organizations, and 3 years of probation.

Mr. A is accused of killing his 41-day-old son last May by pressing his body with his body for 2-3 minutes when he did not stop crying.

According to the court, Mr. A was sentenced to two years in prison and three years of probation for abusing his first and second children, and it was confirmed that he committed the same crime during the appeal period.

During the trial, Mr. A admitted to the crime, saying, "I was angry and committed a crime when the child continued to cry without falling asleep even after drinking formula."

He only denied the murder, saying he didn't think his actions would kill him.

However, the court said, "The defendant had experience giving birth to two children, so the victim's death was sufficiently expected by his actions." pointed out.

He also explained the reason for the sentencing, saying, "I committed the crime while the appeal trial was in progress on the charges of child abuse against my first and second children." .

Prosecutors demanded 16 years in prison, saying that Mr. A must have known what kind of consequences his actions would have because he had experience raising two children.
