Since the evening of yesterday (12th), the autumn rain fell quite wildly, causing flood damage in the central region.

As the leaves clogged the drains, the water filled up, but more damage was prevented thanks to the citizens who removed the leaves themselves.

[What should I do, what is this?]

Rainwater spilled over the road and filled the sidewalk.

In Gangnam-gu, Seoul, which suffered severe flood damage last August, roads were also flooded again.

In late autumn, fallen leaves piled up along the road block the rain gutter and the drainage was not good.

As the water filled up, the citizens rolled up their arms one by one and removed the leaves and garbage. It has also been witnessed.

As flooding reports continued, the fire department carried out emergency drainage work more than 620 times overnight, and the police were also dispatched.

Between last night and this morning, it rained at a maximum of 66.5 mm per hour in Bupyeong, Incheon, and 58.5 mm in Seongbuk-gu, Seoul.

There were flooding of about 10 households and some blackouts, but more damage was prevented thanks to the rapid drainage work between the public and private sector.

In order to prepare for the frequent localized sudden heavy rain, it is important to check the surrounding drainage channels on a regular basis and remove fallen leaves and garbage from time to time.
