Two men in their 30s who helped the suspects in the 'Valley Murder' case, Eun-hae Lee and Hyeon-soo Cho escape, appealed against the verdict of the first trial, which sentenced them to imprisonment.

Lee Eun-hae's acquaintances A (32) and B (31) were sentenced to 1 to 2 years in prison in the first trial on the 3rd for escaping the criminal and filed an appeal with the Incheon District Court the next day.

In December of last year, Mr. A and others were arrested and charged with aiding the escape of Mr. Lee and Mr. Cho, who were being investigated by the prosecution without detention on charges of murder.

The court of first instance sentenced Mr. A to 2 years in prison and Mr. B to 1 year in prison, saying that strict punishment was inevitable because they made it difficult for the state to exercise their penal rights.

However, the charges of having Mr. A and Mr. Lee and Mr. Cho manage illegal sports betting sites and use the proceeds as an escape fund were acquitted.

Lee Eun-hae was put on trial on June 30, 2019 at 8:24 pm on the charges of murdering her husband Yoon-mo in Yongso Valley, Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do, and was sentenced to life imprisonment in the first trial at the end of last month.

Jo Hyun-soo, who was indicted on the same charges as Lee, was sentenced to 30 years in prison, and two other assistants, including Lee's middle school classmate, a woman in her 30s, were also indicted and are currently on trial.
