In the first trial, Lee Eun-hae and accomplice Jo Hyeon-soo were sentenced to life imprisonment and 30 years in prison, respectively, in the so-called 'valley murder', who murdered her husband in the same way as the

The court admitted the crime of causing the victim's death by not planning the murder or taking protective measures, but did not admit the charge of directly killing the victim through so-called 'gaslighting'.

Eun-hae and accomplice Cho Hyeon-soo, who were brought to trial three years ago on charges of killing the victim, Yoon Mo, in Yongso Valley in Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi-do.

The Incheon District Court sentenced Lee to life in prison and accomplice Cho to 30 years in prison in the first trial on the afternoon of the 27th.

The court ordered them to wear electronic anklets for 20 years, and the probation order requested by the prosecution earlier was dismissed.

The court found them guilty of 'murder by negligence', saying that they did not fulfill their duty to protect the victim, Mr. Yoon.

It is believed that Yoon died because they deliberately did not rescue Mr. Yoon, who fell into the water after diving.

They also pleaded guilty to all charges that they deliberately attempted to kill Yoon in February and May of 2019, such as feeding him food mixed with pufferfish blood, or drowning him in the water of a fishing spot.

The court said, "The defendants who were trying to receive 800 million won in life insurance did not give up and killed the victim even though they tried to kill the victim twice and failed."

However, the court did not admit that, unlike the previous prosecution's judgment, they controlled Yoon's psychology and killed him by so-called 'gaslighting'.

Immediately after the sentencing, the bereaved family who attended the trial burst into tears, saying, "Thank you to the judge."
