Lee Eun-hae, who was handed over to trial for the 'valley murder' case, was sentenced to life in prison as requested by the prosecution.

Accomplice Cho Hyun-soo was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

The 15th Criminal Division of the Incheon District Court sentenced Lee, who was charged with murder and attempted murder, to life imprisonment and 30 years to his accomplice, Cho Hyun-soo, at the sentencing hearing today (27th).

However, the court ruled that this case was not a direct (act) murder by gaslighting, but an indirect (involuntary) murder that did not intentionally rescue the victim from drowning after diving.

Earlier, the prosecution requested life imprisonment for both Lee and Cho at the decision trial held on the 30th of last month, saying, "The defendants who planned the perfect crime under the guise of the accident killed the victim by falling into a hot-and-tumble mentality for a large amount of life insurance money."
