Two men of the same age in their 20s who tried to rape a woman they met at a club for the first time were sentenced to prison and arrested in court.

Friends A and B were put on trial on charges of sexually assaulting the victim after making the victim drink alcohol mixed with psychotropic drugs at a club in Seoul in November 2020.



They attempted to rape the victim in a car parked in a nearby parking lot when the victim lost consciousness and fled.



B was also under the influence of drugs at the time of the crime.



The defendants claimed that the victim was not incapacitated at the time and that they had never inflicted any harm, but this was not accepted.



The court said, "The drugs used by the defendants are stronger than the usual psychotropic drugs, and they have a stronger effect when drunk. judged.



The court also admitted the charge of injury, saying, "The Supreme Court's position is that it is an injury to cause a person to lose consciousness with drugs."



In 2017, the Supreme Court ruled that a person who temporarily fell asleep or unconscious by administering a drug constitutes an injury even if there is no visible wound.
