Prosecutors indicted a man in his 40s who tried to kidnap a 15-year-old girl from an elevator for the purpose of sexual assault.



During the police investigation stage, the court once dismissed the arrest warrant for a man in his 40s, but in the end, the woman was found guilty and handed over to trial in a state of detention.



The Goyang Branch of the Uijeongbu District Prosecutor's Office arrested and indicted Mr. A on charges of violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes, Violation of the Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence, etc. It was announced today (19th).



Mr. A is accused of following 15-year-old B, who is boarding an elevator in an apartment in Goyang-si on the 7th of last month, threatening with a weapon and forcibly taking him to the roof.



When Mr. A ran into another resident on the top floor where the elevator stopped, he was arrested in the parking lot of the apartment complex by the police who received a report and arrived.



The police arrested Mr. A and applied for an arrest warrant, but the Goyang Jiwon of the Uijeongbu District Court dismissed the arrest warrant on the 9th of last month, saying, "There is no fear of repeat offenders or fleeing."



However, in the course of the investigation, additional crimes were revealed, such as sexual instruments in Mr. A's car and illegal filming on his cell phone.



In particular, the illegal filming included that Mr. A personally filmed the lower body of female students 14 times from March to June of this year.



In addition, it was found that A possessed 36 illegally filmed images of women under skirts from December 2019 to September this year, and also possessed three child and adolescent sexual exploitation materials from April to September this year.



As a result, the previously applied charge of 'experience of drug abuse by minors' was changed to 'attemption of sexual abuse', and an arrest warrant was requested again.
