A citizen who found a child who appears to be a missing child in the subway reported it.

However, there was a report that Seoul Transportation Corporation and KORAIL had shifted responsibility without asking for details, saying that they were not in each other's jurisdiction.

Reporter Ha Jeong-yeon reported.

On the morning of the 19th, Mr. A, who was riding Seoul Subway Line 4 to work, was surprised to see a child.

[Mr A/Informant: It was very cold this morning, but in short sleeves and shorts and no mask...

.

The aunts grabbed me and asked me briefly, but they said something like, 'My mother hit me.']

He thought that it might be a missing child, so he immediately found the subway text message number and contacted him.

We sent a message that the child seems to need help, with a picture of the child, the train number and current location.

It was at this point that the absurd things started happening.

At the time, Mr. A, who was passing through Line 4 Horse Racing Park Station, contacted the Seoul Transportation Corporation, and he received an answer asking him to inquire about it, saying that the Horse Racing Park Station is a section in charge of KORAIL.

Mr. A later contacted the KORAIL customer center, and this time, he received a reply asking him to contact the competent authority, Seoul Transportation Corporation.

When I first reported to the Seoul Transportation Corporation, the train was passing through Gyeongju Park Station, a section under the jurisdiction of KORAIL.

This is Namtaeryeong Station on Subway Line 4.

Starting from Namtaeryeong Station, the competent authority changes. KORAIL has jurisdiction up to Seonbawi Station, and starting from Namtaeryeong Station, the competent authority changes to Seoul Transportation Corporation.

The two organizations did not ask about the child's situation, and they passed it on because the subway station was not under their jurisdiction.

Angry Mr. A called both agencies, but he did not answer the phone.

Eventually, citizens including Mr. A reported to the police and the child was handed over to the district.

In the SBS coverage, the two agencies came forward to explain.

He said that if there is any content such as fire, accident, or emergency patient when reporting a text message, the two organizations are discussing it over a direct phone call as an emergency report.
