A video titled 'Electric kickboard, it's really dangerous' was uploaded.

Driver A, the informant, said that an accident occurred at an intersection in Gunpo, Gyeonggi, around 5 pm on September 30.

In the released video, three students without helmets got on one electric kickboard and crossed without permission at a crossroads intersection, and collided with a Starex vehicle running at a signal.

The students who collided with the vehicle were blown away for several meters.

Two of them were able to get up immediately, but the other student did not get up.

The video ends with citizens watching the accident approaching the students and helping them who have fallen.

Lawyer Han Moon-cheol said, "It's a shame that it stopped right away after running. The situation would have been even worse if the vehicle was faster or didn't stop right away."

He then pointed out, "The students who didn't even wear helmets almost had a real problem," he said.

While the number of accidents related to electric kickboards has recently increased significantly, according to data submitted by the Fire Service by Hong Ki-won, a member of the National Assembly’s Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, 3,578 people were transported to hospitals due to electric kickboard accidents between January and July of this year. Among them, 1,361 people under the age of 10 were found.
