Broadcaster Kim Eo-joon was sued for defamation by Lee Dong-jae, a former Channel A reporter, and a decision not to appeal was made.
On his YouTube channel and radio program from April to November 2020, Kim threatened to approach Lee Cheol, a former Shillajen representative who was imprisoned when Lee was a legal reporter, and say that he gave money to Yoo Si-min. broadcast that it did.
In response, former reporter Lee filed a complaint with the police in February this year, saying it was an obvious falsehood.
A police official explained the reason for not appealing, saying, after reviewing the background, purpose, and context of the respondent's remarks, there is insufficient clear evidence to admit that he intentionally made false statements to slander the complainant.
