Mercedes-AMG has never been known for restraint.

The new C 63 SE Performance is loudly announced as a "game changer" and is the first AMG to have its own brand emblem on the radiator.

Among them is the most powerful four-cylinder ever installed in a production car, they proudly announce from Affalterbach.

Two turbo-boosted liters of displacement produce 476 hp, which is boosted to a total of 680 hp by an electric motor on the rear axle.

The combined technology comes directly from Formula 1, enabling a sprint from a standing start to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 280 km/h.

The system torque is an impressive 1060 Newton meters.

The 4.75 meter long limousine can crawl 13 kilometers “to the next motorway exit” on purely electric power; the small battery has a capacity of 6.1 kWh.

As in Formula 1, the battery is specifically designed for fast power output and power consumption with direct cooling of the cells.

The electric motor on the rear axle provides all-wheel drive, and the electric motor gearbox has two gears.

A rear axle that steers 2.5 degrees is standard.

The price for the C 63 is to be announced at the end of the year with the start of sales.

There is also a combination variant.
