Fire trucks are lined up along the road covered in hazy smoke.

At around 3 pm today, a 1.2-ton truck caught fire on the Yeongdong Expressway near the Deokpyeong rest area in the Seoul direction.

A man in his 30s, who was driving the car, evacuated as soon as the fire broke out and there were no injuries.

However, as the road exiting from the rest area to the highway was blocked due to a fire, vehicles in the service area were forced to join the highway in the reverse direction using the entrance to the service area, resulting in severe congestion.
