Kim Geun-sik, who was released on the 17th of this month after serving 15 years on charges of sexually assaulting 11 minors, was unable to leave the residence during school hours for children and adolescents.

The Seoul Southern District Court accepted the prosecution's request to extend the time limit for going out to 9 am among the requirements for Kim Geun-sik's compliance with the electronic device installation order.

Accordingly, Kim's time limit for going out has been increased from 10 pm to 6 am to 10 pm to 9 am.

This is based on the judgment that it is necessary to preemptively prevent crimes against children and adolescents on their way to school.

Restrictions on residence and the duty to report when traveling have also been added.

If Mr. Kim does not have a stable residence, he must live in a place designated by the probation officer, and when traveling or visiting an area other than the city/gun/gu of residence, he must report the reason, period, destination, etc. to the probation officer in charge and obtain permission.

From May to September 2006, Kim was sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexual assault on 11 minors in Seo-gu and Gyeyang-gu, Incheon, and Goyang, Siheung, and Paju in Gyeonggi-do.

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family plans to disclose personal information such as photos and real residence on the day of Kim's release on the Internet site 'Sex Offender Notification e'.
