In the early morning of today (1st), residents found dead herring fry on the shore of Daguri, Jindong-myeon, Masanhappo-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do.

One resident said, "When I went out to sea, I saw a lot of anchovies and herring cubs bigger than an adult's finger washed up on the shore."

Fishermen and environmental experts postponed the death of only herring cubs, so it was first determined that sea pollution was not the cause.

Park Jong-kwon, former chairman of the Masan Changwon Jinhae Environmental Movement Association, said, "It seems that the nets burst or the fishing boats dumped overcaught fish into the sea, and they were pushed in by the current overnight."
