Last July, a passenger got into a taxi on the road in Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do.

On the way to Pyeongtaek, a passenger asked to stop at the nearby 119 Center,

[Taxi Driver: 'What are you going for?

When I asked 'Why are you not depositing money in the corporate bankbook and collecting it yourself?', he said, 'We do that'.]

A taxi driver, feeling suspicious, reported to the police after the passenger got off for a while at the destination.

Then a black car came to the exact spot where the taxi was, stopped and handed a female passenger a shopping bag full of money.

The passenger who got back into the taxi suddenly changed his destination as well.

[Taxi Driver: Suddenly, a person who is going to Pyeongtaek asked to go to Hanam, so this is 100%…

.]

When the police officer who received the report calls to find out the location,

[Taxi Driver: (Police) now asks for the color of the car and the number. Talking like this...

.

[Taxi Driver: Can I buy a cup of coffee?]

He said he would stop by the Anseong rest area and informed the destination so that the police were able to catch the passenger.

The cash in the shopping bag was 46 million won.

It was money that was stolen from the victim in the name of repaying the existing loan by saying that he would give him a loan with a low interest rate.

The police arrested a passenger who was a cash collector for a voice phishing organization and returned all the money to the victim.

[Taxi Driver: Even if it doesn’t hurt me, the people around me can get hurt and get hurt, so anyone will do that (I think.)]
