Canada lifts all travel restrictions related to COVID-19.

According to the AP and Bloomberg News on the 26th (local time), the Canadian government has decided not to require travelers entering the country from the 1st of next month to submit a certificate of COVID-19 vaccination, a negative test, and mandatory quarantine.

Foreign nationals who are not currently vaccinated must be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival and quarantined for 14 days upon arrival in Canada.

In addition, the mandatory wearing of masks for passengers on planes and trains will also disappear at the end of this month.

The mandatory Corona 19 screening before boarding for cruise users will also disappear.

Earlier this year, the Canadian government started to lift quarantine restrictions in stages to reopen economic activities, but travel restrictions were not lifted until the end.

The Canadian government said in a press release, "The repeal of the border measures will be implemented based on several factors, including high vaccination rates and indicators suggesting that Canada has passed the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, largely triggered by omicron mutations BA.4 and BA.5. It will be,” he said.

According to Bloomberg, 90% of Canadians over the age of 5 have had at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Transport Minister Omar Algabra said: "Thousands of Canadians have been able to do this because they have rolled up their sleeves and been vaccinated."
