The prosecution, which is investigating the allegation of donations from Seongnam FC, has launched a search and seizure of 10 places including Naver.

It seems that the investigation is expanding to other companies besides Doosan E&C, which was the subject of the previous investigation.

Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Prosecutor's Office has been conducting seizures and searches of about 10 places including Naver and CHA Hospital since the morning of the 26th.

These companies are suspected of receiving various preferential treatment in return for sponsoring Seongnam FC.

In the days of Seongnam Mayor Lee Jae-myung, as the owner of Seongnam FC, he attracted 16 billion won in donations from companies such as Doosan E&C, Naver, and CHA Hospital.

Naver paid about 4 billion won in donations and received special favors such as building permits for the second office building, while CHA Hospital paid 3.3 billion won in donations and was suspected of receiving preferential treatment, such as changing the use of the site of the former Bundang Police Station, where the Cha Hospital in Yatap-dong, Bundang-gu was located. .

At that time, it was reported that Naver circumvented the donation through 'Hope Salim', a public interest corporation.

Previously, the police concluded that there were no charges against five companies, including Naver and Nonghyup Bank, which paid for advertising sponsorship other than Doosan E&C, and sent them to the prosecution on the 13th.

A third-party bribery charge was applied to Lee.

However, today's search and seizure targets include companies that the police thought were not suspected, and there is an analysis that the prosecution is expanding the investigation target.

Earlier, on the 16th and 20th, the prosecution conducted two seizures and searches of 20 locations including Doosan E&C and Doosan Group headquarters, Seongnam FC, and Seongnam City Hall offices.
