Today (26th) around 7:45 am, a fire broke out at Hyundai Premium Outlet in Yongsan-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon.

Two people died and one was seriously injured in the fire.

Two more people have gone missing and firefighters are working to find them.

However, it is said that the fire department does not rule out the possibility that there may be additional missing persons.

After receiving a report that "a lot of black smoke is coming out of the basement of the outlet," the fire department has issued a second stage of response, and 126 people including firefighters and 40 equipment are being put in to extinguish the fire.

At the time of the fire, it was confirmed that there were no outside customers because the outlet was before the opening, and 110 people, including guests and workers in the nearby lodging building, were evacuated.

Fire authorities are investigating the details of the fire, focusing on the possibility that an electric vehicle being charged in an underground parking lot exploded.
