I am standing in front of the Hyundai Premium Outlet in Yongsan-dong, Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, where the fire broke out.

It has been more than 4 hours since the fire started, but the big fire has been extinguished to some extent, and the black smoke that came out of the building has now changed to white smoke.

The fire started at around 7:45 this morning with an explosion of unknown cause in the parking lot on the first basement level.

There were no customers before the store opened, but there were casualties of employees, including night workers in the disaster prevention room.

On the first basement floor, employees in their 30s and 50s were found to have cardiac arrest and were taken to the hospital, but eventually died.

In addition to the three casualties, the police and fire departments believe that about four people, including logistics team employees, cannot be reached, and are working with the central rescue team to search for them.

The initial ignition point is on the first basement floor, and it seems to be a loading dock where goods are unloaded, and paper boxes in the loading dock burn quickly and expel a large amount of smoke, taking time to search and investigate the cause of the fire.

The fire department has so far put 357 firefighters and 49 equipment in place to extinguish the fire, and the big fire is almost out.

Meanwhile, at the hotel right next to the outlet, about 100 people, including guests and workers, were evacuated, and it is known that all of them were safe.

Prime Minister Han Deok-soo urgently ordered to minimize casualties by mobilizing all available equipment and manpower.
