Actor Kwak Do-won (49, real name Kwak Byung-gyu) was drunk driving a car and fell asleep in the middle of the road.

The Jeju Western Police Department announced today (25th) that they had booked Kwak Do-won on charges of drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act.

Kwak was caught sleeping in his car with his SUV parked on a road near Eoeum Elementary School in Bongseong-ri, Aewol-eup, Jeju-si around 5 am, and was caught by the police during a drunken crackdown.

Police received a report from residents that 'a car parked on the road is not moving', and the police came to the scene and woke him up, who was sleeping in the car, and took a breathalyzer test.

It was confirmed that the blood alcohol level was higher than the license revocation value (0.08%).

The place where Mr. Kwak's car stopped was in the middle of a one-lane road in front of the elementary school, which almost led to a dangerous accident.

A police official said, "Fortunately, it was a simple drunk driving that did not lead to another accident."

Kwak Do-won debuted in 1992 and has appeared in films such as Steel Rain 2: Summit (2020), 'International Investigation' (2020), and 'There Is No Goo' (2022).

In 2018, Mr. Kwak served as a public relations ambassador for Jeju Island.
