The government has decided to lift the obligation to wear a mask outdoors in consideration of the current quarantine situation and the inconvenience of the public.

Currently, it is required to wear a mask when attending outdoor gatherings, performances, and sports events with more than 50 people, but starting next Monday, you can do it without a mask.

However, the government has decided to maintain the duty to wear an indoor mask for the time being.

It is explained that the measure was taken in consideration of the increase in flu patients and the possibility of a winter COVID-19 resurgence.

The government also disclosed the antibody-positive rate results of a nationwide survey of 10,000 people.

It has been confirmed that about 97% of the population has antibodies through vaccination and natural infection.

The antibody positivity rate due to natural infection was 57%, which was 19 percentage points higher than the cumulative rate of confirmed cases during the same period.

[Han Deok-soo / Prime Minister: It means that around 20% of unconfirmed infections exist.

In the future, we will continue to accumulate data, such as conducting long-term follow-up investigations on changes in antibody levels…
