The Seoul Metropolitan Transportation Authority was seized and searched by the prosecution, which is conducting a reinforcing investigation into Jeon Joo-hwan, who killed a 20-year-old station worker.

As Jeon Joo-hwan accessed the internal network of the corporation and found out the victim's work place and address, we are looking into this process in detail.

The places where the Prosecutor's Office, which set up a dedicated investigation team by dispatching 4 prosecutors, launched a compulsory investigation, are the Information Operation Center, which operates the Seoul Transportation Corporation's servers, and the station offices at Gusan Station and Jeungsan Station.

The station office at Gusan Station and Jeungsan Station is where Jeon Joo-hwan stopped by before the crime and checked the victim's work place and address.

Although Jeon Joo-hwan was released from his position, he was able to freely access the internal network of the corporation and check the victim's address because the trial and disciplinary proceedings had not yet been completed.

The Seoul Transportation Corporation's internal network was able to access basic information such as employees' names, departments, and contact information, as well as sensitive personal information such as addresses, without restrictions.

[Kim Jung-man / Seoul Transportation Corporation Information Operation Center Director: It is not personnel information, so it is an address that is specified later when collecting withholding tax, but that part was

exposed, so I checked it with it.]

We did not send this part to the prosecution because we saw that it was not a violation of the Personal Information Protection Act as much as we accessed the network.

However, the prosecution is looking at whether the corporation, the subject of personal information, has fulfilled its obligation to protect personal information, and whether there was any violation of Jeon Joo-hwan's personal information verification process from the beginning.

The Seoul Transportation Corporation announced that it had blocked access to the internal network of the disciple from the position since the 20th after being pointed out that Jeon Joo-hwan could commit the crime due to poor personal information management.
