They steal and publish 90 videos of the expected Grand Theft Auto 6

A user of the digital forum gtaforums claims to have managed to access the servers of the

company , developers of the famous

saga , and download almost a hundred videos of the long-awaited next installment, GTA 6, in addition to the source code of both this new title as of its predecessor,

The videos have begun to circulate on the network this past weekend and appear to be legitimate.

They show a game still in development (the graphic quality is not final and they still have several of the tags that the developers use to debug the actions of the characters) but they confirm several of the rumors that were circulating about the game, such as that it will be set in

, an idealized version of

that already served as the setting for a previous installment of the saga, and for the first time a female protagonist can be chosen.

In the message posted on the forum under the pseudonym

, the attacker has left a link to the full collection of videos.

Within a few hours, several people had started uploading several of them to

and other platforms.

Many of the links to these videos no longer work because

, the publisher of the game, is asking those responsible for these platforms to block the publication.

Teapotuberhacker also claims to be the hacker behind the attack this past week on

's servers , although this point, for the moment, has not been confirmed.

In addition to posting the link to the videos, he has asked Rockstar employees to contact him to reach an agreement.

"It is possible that he will leak more data soon, such as the source code of GTA V and 6, and a compiled version of GTA 6," he says.

The game does not yet have a release date.

The only thing Rockstar had said so far was that they were already working on it.

It is one of the most anticipated titles for the current generation of consoles, partly because of how long it has taken to see the light.

GTA V, its predecessor,

, and continues to be a very successful game, thanks in part to the online component and the continuous updates of content and missions.

From what has been seen in the videos, GTA 6 will follow the formula very closely, with several protagonists -among them, for the first time a woman- who will alternate throughout the different missions and an open world in in which players will have great freedom to do all kinds of criminal actions, while avoiding law enforcement.
