A man in his 30s who killed a female station worker in his 20s in the women's restroom at Sindang Station on the Seoul subway was found to have planned the crime for a long time as a motive for joining the Seoul Transportation Corporation, which had been stalking the victim.

He was charged with stalking the victim and was found to have committed the crime a day before the sentencing of the first trial.

According to the police today (15th), the Seoul Central Police Station arrested A (31), an employee of the Seoul Transportation Corporation, on suspicion of murder at around 9 pm yesterday.

Person A is charged with chasing after victim B, who was patrolling the women's restroom at Sindang Station at the time, and murdering her with a weapon.

According to the police investigation, Mr. A stayed at Sindang Station for about an hour and 10 minutes with the weapon he had prepared in advance at home, waiting for Mr. B to appear before committing the crime.

Person B, who was stabbed by a knife, asked for help with the emergency button in the bathroom, and other citizens in the bathroom also heard Mr. B's scream and reported it to the police.

After that, station staff, social service workers, and citizens together held Mr. A and handed it over to the police who were dispatched to the scene.

At the time of arrest, Mr. A was wearing a disposable shower cap, but the police believe that Mr. A had prepared in advance so as not to leave any traces of the crime.

B was taken to the hospital in cardiac arrest and was declared dead about two and a half hours later.
