The police decided not to appeal the case in September last year, but at the request of the prosecution, in the course of the supplementary investigation, they listened to new statements from those involved in the case, and secured evidence to support this through a search and seizure, thus overturning the investigation result. I did.

At the time of the initial investigation, both Seongnam City and Doosan E&C claimed that there was no connection between the advertising sponsorship money and the change of use, but in the course of the supplementary investigation, it is said that the two sides had discussions on the change of use from the negotiation stage.

However, it said that it was determined that there were no allegations against five other companies in the jurisdiction, such as Naver and Nonghyup, which were suspected of similar sponsorship, as in the initial investigation.
